　情報空間論（数学における情報空間論とは異なるもの）の構想は，まだぜんぶは発表していません。かわりに，学科紀要に掲載した原稿をお示しします。

和文抄録：「情報空間」という語がインフォーマルに用いられている。しかしこの語は，しばしば情報に関する存在論的（形而上学的）探求における立場の表明に用いられる。情報空間に関する思想史研究の一環として，本研究では，情報学において見られる情報空間および認知空間という語の定義や記述を分析した。ここではB.C.Brookes，P. Ingwersen, G.Newbyの三者の考えを分析し，彼らの情報空間についての考えを統合した。ついで，こうした考え方を展開し，情報空間論に関する今後の探求のための手がかりとなる仮設的モデルを提示した。

英文抄録：Though the term 'information space(s)' has been used informally in some contexts, it is often used as a term associated with some ontological or metaphysical statements on information. As a study in the history of ideas associated with information space(s), definitions and descriptions of the term (and also the term 'cognitive space(s)') in the context of information science are discussed. Works of B. C. Brookes, Peter Ingwersen, and Gregory Newby are analysed, and their ideas are synthesized as a theory of information space. A provisional model of information and cognitive spaces is presented. The model is proposed as a step to further investigation into the history of ideas associated with the concept of information space.
